As my mileage increases with my training I get some tips on how I should be fuelling my body for my rides.
Good nutrition can help make a difference to your performance. You should put as much thought into it as you would into your training plan. Getting the right balance in your diet in the run up to a long distance cycling event will give your body the fuel it needs, as well as helping it to grow and repair. Here are the five top tips given to me by the British Heart Foundation who run the London to Brighton Bike Rides:
