I'm trying to drop a dress size. First step: time to detox

I’m so excited about my first week on the Summer Body Challenge. My workout’s needed a good kick up the bum for a long time, so I’m thrilled to be working with Jane Wake After our first session – if the way my body aches is anything to go by – I’m confident she can whip me into shape over the next eight weeks!
Our first session together was a bit of a wake-up call though. I was dreading the thought that she might make me run – I haven’t done it since school – and that’s exactly what she did! But we took it easy around my local park and then she showed me some body toning exercises using a resistance band. I felt a bit silly at first, getting my giant elastic band out in public, but thankfully the park is always full of people exercising, so I don’t stand out too much.

Jane says my diet is pretty healthy, so long term I won’t have to do anything too drastic – I’ve tried so many faddy diets in the past and always piled the weight back on, so this time I want to make realistic changes that will last. So, the aim is to swap sugary, carb heavy snacks when I’m on the go, for nuts, hummus and veg.
She has put me on a week-long detox to kick-start my system, though. I’ve had a headache for the last couple of days, but I guess that’s just my body getting rid of the toxins and getting used to the lack of sugar. I keep telling myself it’s only for a week and the result will be worth it. The thought of getting into that pair of skinny jeans hanging up in my room is enough to keep me going.
