Yes, it's that time again! The Zest Challenge is back – and for 2012 it's bigger and better. Following the runaway success of last year's event, when almost 800 Zesties took part, we've upgraded our women-only challenge to create a fun course that guarantees a great sense of achievement – and lots of laughs along the way.
Find out who won the Zest Challenge in 2011 - and the fabulous prize they won
The exciting 10K countryside trail is about more than just running (hell, you can walk if you want), as en route you'll encounter fun mini-challenges to scramble under, jump over, or splash through. You don't have to be super-fit – honest! – as the course is suitable for all abilities, and the focus is very much on having fun. Plus, all the equipment you need will be provided, so all you need to bring is a sense of adventure. Not only that, but this year there are several ways to enter: alone, as a pair or with a fellow Zest reader courtesy of our brilliant new 'Buddy-Up' scheme.
Anyone who fancies taking part but doesn't want to race alone, simply visit the Zest Challenge 2012 forum and log your details so fellow Zesties can get in touch. The Zest Challenge 2012 forum is also the best place to talk tactics, goals and training.

THE ZEST CHALLENGE 2012
This year’s challenge event will be 10km in total distance and include a series of ‘micro-challenges’ along the way! They will be nicely spread out and with a number of wave starts, we’ve ensured you’ll be able to tackle all the challenges with little taster of the fun you’ll encounter along the way:
Move the beach ball around a short loop - no hands allowed!
Fancy being close to the countryside? You will be under these nets!
You can’t go round them- you’ve gotta go over them!
March on your skis with no snow in sight.
What goes up must come down along the special Zest Challenge slide. Tally ho!
W-HAY TO GO
Another micro-challenge. You’ll soon get over it.
An opportunity to find out the true cost of inflation with this balloon challenge.
WALKING THE PLANK
Cross the wooden pontoons without touching the grass
IN THE SACK
Jump in the sack and don’t look back!
Some equestrian fences are for not just for horses you know.
Terms and Conditions apply: Tickets cost £50 for a pair or £30 for a single entrant and will be allocated on a first come first served basis. The ticket price includes access to the event, a goody bag and medal. Tickets are non-refundable and ZEST reserve the right to change details of this event.
