Yes, it's that time again! The Zest Challenge is back – and for 2012 it's bigger and better. Following the runaway success of last year's event, when almost 800 Zesties took part, we've upgraded our women-only challenge to create a fun course that guarantees a great sense of achievement – and lots of laughs along the way.
Find out who won the Zest Challenge in 2011 - and the fabulous prize they won
The exciting 10K countryside trail is about more than just running (hell, you can walk if you want), as en route you'll encounter fun mini-challenges to scramble under, jump over, or splash through. You don't have to be super-fit – honest! – as the course is suitable for all abilities, and the focus is very much on having fun. Plus, all the equipment you need will be provided, so all you need to bring is a sense of adventure.
Not only that, but this year there are several ways to enter: alone, as a pair or with a fellow Zest reader courtesy of our brilliant new 'Buddy-Up' scheme.
Anyone who fancies taking part but doesn't want to race alone, simply visit the Zest Challenge 2012 forum and log your details so fellow Zesties can get in touch. The Zest Challenge 2012 forum is also the best place to talk tactics, goals and training.
Whatever you do, don’t waste any time entering, as last year’s event sold out in days. Sign up via our sister site Runner's World right here.
Taking place on the Hambledon Estate, near lovely Henley-on-Thames in Berkshire, The Zest Challenge also makes a great day out for your family and friends too.
While you tackle our hill of tyres or negotiate a scramble net, all surrounded by the gorgeous Oxfordshire scenery, your supporters can enjoy tasty refreshments and pampering treats in The Zest Village, while everyone who takes part gets an amazing Zest goody bag and medal at the end.
