Last week, all of us brides-to-be here at Zest HQ (Leyla, our Beauty Editor, Lyndsey, our Deputy Chief Sub Editor and me, Taylor, Zest's Editorial Assistant) were gushing over a new nail polish colour sent in by Essie that would be perfect for a wedding mani (A Crewed Interest, if you're curious). The conversation then moved onto the latest Davina DVD and how amazing it is for blasting bingo wings (Ultimate Target, you’re welcome in advance) before swiftly switching to our picks for the best mascaras that don’t run OR clump - one of our biggest wedding day worries. Suddenly, I had an epiphany – we need to start a Zest Bridal Blog.
While Zest may not be a magazine for brides, per se, we know there are tons of you out there who turn to us during your wedding journey to find out all sorts of tips and tricks, whether you’re searching for the best fake tan that isn’t full of chemicals, want to learn how to navigate family dramas with grace, find a shine spray that creates hair so glossy Princess Kate would be jealous, or learn the move that sculpts a bum better than Pippa’s (yes, it is possible).
Between the three of us, we’re constantly testing out the latest fitness classes, beauty products and slimming foods with one thing on our minds: how good we’re going to look and feel in our white dresses. So we’re going to share our behind-the-scenes tricks of the trade with you during our own wedding journeys and hopefully they'll make yours a bit easier, and more fun too (did you know you can learn to make sushi on your hen do?!). When we find the perfect fake tan that won’t run on our dresses, we’ll share it with your here before they’re even done spraying.
One of the best things about being a bride is indulging in all of your girly fantasies and becoming the best you can possibly be, physically and mentally – which is exactly what Zest stands for too. Embrace your inner bride and enjoy the ride with us – we’re here to help!
