A new study shows that for men searching for a long-term partner it's your face that seals the deal, not your body
Your beauty regime may be even more important than you thought. Researchers from The University of Texas have found that men who want a serious relationship look for a youthful face with big, feminine eyes, but those looking for casual flings are attracted to curvy bodies. Eyes hold the key to fertility cues because they are sensitive to the rise in oestrogen levels that persist throughout a woman's reproductive lifespan. This signals that women will make good mothers, while killer curves say flirty, no-strings-attached fun.

Interestingly the same researchers found that women were much more considered when looking for a mate - they looked at faces and bodies whether for a husband, or a fling. We dare say they'd want a potential partner to be funny, intelligent and gentlemanly too, or is that just us?
