Two thirds of employees don't take their lunch break

The average lunch break is a measly 16 minutes, with 66% of employees not taking their full lunchtime allocation because their workload is too great, a recent poll revealed. Only 3% of those questioned took an hour for lunch and 11% have to eat on the go, as they're just too busy.  


ZEST SAYS If you're reading this at lunchtime, the likelihood is that you're not taking your full lunch break. But rushing your lunch break isn't just bad for your digestion. A study in the Environmental Science and Technology journal revealed that just five minutes of exercise, even walking, in a local park or green space can boost your wellbeing dramatically. So taking a break, rather than working through, could actually get that report written even faster!
