Top skincare expert Sharon Preston is now available for bespoke facial treatments in London
When we heard one of Britain's top skincare experts was opening a facial studio in Harley Street, we hightailed it over for a treatment of our own. Sharon Preston, an international examiner for one of the world's most prestigious beauty qualifications, is usually impossible to track down, as she spends most of her time travelling the globe teaching beauty therapists the latest tricks of the trade. Thankfully for us, she's decided to slow down a bit and offer her skills to the public in a newly opened space in London.
Specialising in anti-aging, pigmentation and scarring, Sharon targets pesky sun spots and wrinkles with a variety of products and techniques she's picked up during these international travels. With nearly 20 years experience in the beauty industry as both a facialist and a trainer, you'd be hard pressed to find more expert hands.
The two-hour treatment begins with an extensive consultation to discuss lifestyle, sun exposure, eating and exercise habits, and any other relevant health issues. Sharon then studies the skin under a magnifying glass to assess damage and moisture levels. Armed with this information, she is able to cater the facial to mend any skin ailment, from dehydration to acne.
Sharon then applies a moisturising serum that improves skin pigmentation followed by a series of masques to replenish and revitalise. While they work their magic, Sharon performs a little magic of her own in the form of a relaxing face, neck, shoulder and hand massage, which helps drain toxins, stimulate circulation and improve muscle tone, giving a natural lift to the skin. Bliss with benefits. She finishes off with a moisturiser to leave the skin hydrated and soothed. Sharon also performs dermabrasion or light therapy, depending on your personal skin care needs.
