Get pedalling: you'll love it!

if you like the thought of whizzing around on your bike, but are a nervous cyclist, the Big Breeze Bike ride could be just the thing to get you on two wheels.

Thousands of women across the UK are expected to take part in the event, which takes place June 23-24, 2012. The Big Breeze flagship event takes place in Hull, but a selection of long and short rides will take place all over the country. To get involved, visit the facebook app and search for a ride to join - you can even create your own.

The aim is to use the social media platform to help women cyclists get in touch and lend each other support. It’s a great way to take your cycling further in a fun, non-competitive, social and supportive environment with the opportunity to plug into a whole new network of female cycling groups.

Remember, cycling to work is one of the easiest ways to fit exercise into your daily routine, will save you money on transport and is environmentally friendly too. Try and ride 150 minutes a week to see a real improvement in your cardiovascular fitness.
