Wondering why you can't eat as much chocolate as you did in your 20s without putting on the pounds? Finding it more difficult to lose weight as you get older? Well, it turns out your skirt length, skincare regime and social life aren't the only things that change over time - so does how your body loses and gains weight.

Whatever your age - 20s, 30s, 40+ - make sure your eating habits aren't to blame for inch gain.

Our guide to what to eat and why should help you master your metabolism and help you stay in control of your changing body.

This is really interesting! I think it's so important to stay in touch with our bodies to see why we are gaining or losing weight - which foods make us feel and look our best - and which ones we should avoid. We are all different and each of us has a different relationship with food. Personally I really have to be careful about my carb intake - particularly bready foods. And if I avoid them then I can probably enjoy a bit of chocolate instead! (or a glass of wine!) The older I get, the less food I seem to need. I try to eat foods which release their energy slowly so that I can be sustained throughout the day... I have a busy lifestyle as a working mum. Activia TLC promotes a healthy eating plan complete with recipes and fitness tips which I believe can work for anyone to keep your weight on track. You can view the plan here http://bit.ly/lNojvs and then browse to see the tips and recipes. Everything is flexible and the tips are varied enough to apply to most lifestyle types.
