Expert advice on the three best places to enjoy spa treatments in Ibiza
Whether you're in Ibiza for the club scene or to get away from it all with some glorious Mediterranean sunshine, the White Isle is increasingly catering for wellness breaks. But you don't have to break the bank to enjoy a top-class feel-good treatment.Ibiza's top three spa hotels are gorgeous places to stay in their own right, but keep down costs by booking yourself a day pass, class or specific treatment to reap the benefits of a spa break without committing to a full regime.Try one of these, as recommended by Ibiza resident Zeta Kearney, weddings and events manager at celebrity bolthole Amante Beach Club:
1. Agroturismo Atzaro: this countryside hotel, a favourite getaway for celebs (we spotted tennis ace Boris Becker among the guests there when we last visited) boasts a glorious spa with treatments including Balinese facials and Thai massage. It's a haven of relaxation in East meets West style, with a lap pool and secluded treatment pavilions.OFFICIAL: Atzaro was winner of the 2012 White Ibiza Best Spa Award.
2. La Hacienda na Xamena: perched on Ibiza's rocky northern coast, La Hacienda is world famous for its exclusive luxury. Check in for a day to take advantage of its stunning Las Cascadas Suspendidas thalassotherapy treatment, whereby you travel through a series of salted hydro-massage pools built into the ide of a cliff overlooking the sea. Cool sea breezes help make this the perfect chill-out spot on a hot day.
3. Aguas de Ibiza: if you're looking for a quick treatment during your Mediterranean break, this hotel-based spa in the bustling town of Sta Eularia is a good bet. Try beauty treatments including anti-celllulite body wraps and sculptor sessions, plus a full range of Clarins facials.Try early morning open-air yoga with an expert practitioner at the Amante Beach club May-July and September-October. Check the Amante facebook page or call for details.
