The diagnosis

On arrival, I was diagnosed with a massive Magnesium deficiency and possible heavy metal poisoning (caused by: amalgam fillings; tinned food; certain fish; tap water).  This, together with a stressful lifestyle, spike my high blood pressure for sure.

My liver needed attention (Dr Domenig prodded; I yelped). My gluten and lactose intolerance turned out to be a hystermine problem which often masquerades as red-herring food allergies.

A machine that calculates body composition, announced I was "50 per cent fat" with 30 kilos to lose. My lower back problem - 'a strain from lifting a heavy bag' - was diagnosed actually as a swollen colon.

But by far the most unsettling result were my free radicals. My basic knowledge of these is that they can age you, give you cancer and Alzheimer's and you just don't want to go there. Normal free radical levels fall between 250-350 - but mine returned at the demonically high reading of '666'. And so...
