Some days, it's a toss up as to whether you head out for a run or not. We've all been there, and often it's the smallest thing that can push you in either direction. If in doubt, go, is a good mantra to adopt. But if you're not so strong-minded, one of these four steps from RunBreeze co-founders Jamie Smalley and Richard Edmonds might just help...
- Get yourself a good playlist to help to keep you motivated. We’d recommend songs including Maroon 5, Moves Like Jagger and Calvin Harris – Let’s Go as they’re upbeat and will give you a boost when you need it most.
- Run without a watch and forget about the time. It’s liberating to go out for a run and go for as long as feel on the day without the added pressure of sticking to a timed run.
- Sign up for a race – having a goal to focus on will keep you motivated.
- Create a blog/twitter account. By blogging or tweeting regular updates on your training you’ll be much more likely to stick to your plan.
