I've found a great new running route near me at home along the canals and around old parts of london which I have found really inspiring.

Katie, your sooo right.  Canels are a great place to run, there is usually much to look at and things are often changing.  As the nights are starting to close in it may not be the best place to run solo as often they can be quiet but great with a running buddy or two!!.

I like running through the woods with streams and soft trails through it (with a running buddy of course).  I love having all of the nature around me and seeing wildlife going about their daily business as I'm running through.

I agree, running on roads is not as therapeutic for me unforutnately I live in the middle of a town so I have to run a couple of miles before I get to some greenery. I try to do the Parkrun on a Saturday which gives me a bit of greenery and last week I saw a squirrel

I live in a flat which overlooks the regents canal and when I sit on my sofa I look down on runners on their way too and from Victoria Park East London. This inspires me to get my trainers on and join them otherwise I end up feeling like a couch potato.

regents canal is great , there is lots of wildlife and amazing graffiti . It keeps me entertained.
