Want to take part in the biggest half marathon in the world? If you're looking for a place among the 54,000 runners who take part in the annual Bupa Great North Run, now's your chance to put your name in the ballot and hope for the best.
The race, which starts in Newcastle and ends in South Shields, takes place on September 16, 2012. The ballot for places closes on Monday February 6, 2012, leaving lucky participants seven months to get race ready.
