Great total-body workout

Q: How is Zumba Sentao™ different from original Zumba®?

A: The Zumba Sentao workout takes the fun of fitness-party and partners it with explosive, chair-based choreography to strengthen, balance and stabilize your core, allowing you to step up your cardio workout in a new way.

Q: Who is the Zumba Sentao™ program targeted at?

A: The Zumba philosophy is that anyone can do it – the steps are easy-to-follow and the Latin and international rhythms are contagious. Again, anyone can take a Zumba Sentao™ class, and it's a good option for first-time Zumba students too because it combines dance-fitness with traditional moves like squats, lunges and crunches. (Make sure you've checked with your doctor first if you have any health issues.).

Q: Does Zumba Sentao™ provide a total-body workout?

A: The Zumba Sentao™ program provides a total-body workout experience through heightened cardiovascular performance, muscle strength exercises and also through a range of exercises focused on flexibility. By using the chair as a tool, participants are performing both seated and standing toning exercises like push-ups, seated triceps dips, squats, lunges and abdominal crunches, thus enhancing the total-body workout experience in a minimal amount of time.

Q: Where can you take a Zumba™ Sentao class?

A: Right now, Zumba Fitness is focusing on training Zumba instructors in the Zumba Sentao™ program. Classes will soon be available in select gyms in the US, and by summer 2012 the program will launch worldwide. To find a class, visit zumba.com and click on the class locator tab. Currently, Zumba Sentao™ can be found in the Exhilarate™, Zumba’s seven-disc DVD collection, and you can purchase it on zumba.com.
