Sports bra experts Freya Active have launched a national campaign 'Back to Netball' to encourage women to get back to playing netball, a sport which is already experiencing an upsurge in popularity - the past three years have seen a 15% rise in the number of women playing.
The goal? To get 2,012 more women to take up netball by the end of 2012. Typically, all it takes is 30 minutes three times a week.
Joanna Adams from England Netball says, ‘Netball is fun, energetic and is the perfect sport to pick up quickly again. People don’t realise how fit netball keeps you, you’ve got to be incredibly quick and just one hour burns off a lot of calories.’
