Jessica Ennis races to victory in the women's hurdles

It was a big weekend for British athletes at the Aviva trials in Birmingham - records were broken and it was the perfect chance for many to see how their London 2012 Olympics preparations were coming along.

Qualifiers for the big one now include Jessica Ennis, who won the 100m hurdles, pole vaulter Holly Bleasedale, Perri Shakes-Drayton, javelin thrower Goldie Sayers, Shara Proctor, walker Jo Jackson steeplechaser Eilish McColgan and Christine Ohuruogu.

As Perri Shakes-Drayton (400m hurdles) puts it, 'I'm going to the Olympics; I'm happy!'

Javelin thrower Goldie Sayers won the competition with a throw of 58.45m, saying, 'I'm very proud to make it 10 consecutive national titles.'

Christine Ohuruogu (400m) paid tribute to the fans who are getting behind Team GB to help them push themselves even further as the Olympics approaches. She adds, 'I have a really good team around me. Everything's coming together!'
