Knead is a brand new bakery that bakes allergy-friendly goods that are all certified gluten, dairy, yeast and cane sugar free.
Founder (and long-term allergy sufferer) Sim Smith explains, 'The basic idea behind the company is to cater for children and adults who have more than one intolerance, allergy or sensitivity to deal with. Those who may be diabetic and coeliac for example, having to follow a gluten-free and low sugar diet or just for those health conscious amongst us who don't want to miss out on life's little indulgences.'
Many allergy or intolerance friendly products already on the market contain high levels of sugar, dairy-free ones can be full of wheat, while gluten-free ones can spark other allergies.
Sim says, 'One of my main focuses is on proving that living with allergies needn't be restrictive and dispelling the myth that allergy products are less appetising than their conventional counterparts. All of our products are freshly made and don't include any nasty additives or preservatives.'
