I often read about different training levels, how do you gauge which training level you are in?

Hi Debbie,

I often have the same difficulty - especially as I think I'm different levels for different sports. For example, I know I'm quite a strong swimmer, but when it comes to sprinting - I'm definitely at the bottom of the class! A good way to start I think would be to have an induction at a gym, as they can offer a training plan to suit you. If you're not a gym member and prefer training outside like me, give one of our plans a go, and see how you get on. If you feel like it's too easy, and you don't feel like you've made much of an effort, definitely crank it up a notch to the next level.

Good luck and keep us posted about how you're getting on!

Hello!

I've always been quite a keen runner but after recently starting a new job with long hours (0745-1800)and having some health problems, I don't don't seem to have the energy or time to get out and get fit again! Having put on nearly a stone in a very short space of time I need your help! Any suggestions for upping my motivation and finding the time to get my sluggish butt off the sofa?

Hi!

I have recently upped my fitness regime and find that I often am super hungry and eat a lot of sweet things directly after exercising and sometimes need a nap in the afternoon. What should I eat after exercising that is healthy and will fill me up as well as keep me feeling full? Also, how soon before exercising should I eat? I usually have porridge for breakfast and wait 30 mins-1 hour until exercising.

Thank you
anni
