Unsure what level of sunscreen protection you should be using? Check out My UV Alert, a free iPhone app that promises to let you know when and how much suncream to slap on.
First, set up your personal UV profile by answering a short set of questions to determine your skin type and identify your personal UV risk level. The app is then able to determine your UV profile and can tell you exactly what SPF you should be applying.
The app, developed by suncare experts La Roche-Posay, sends out location-specific push alerts on the UV level in your area, tailored to your skin type. It advises when levels are high and reminds you to apply and re-apply sun protection.
You also receive localised weather forecasts and UV level warnings.
