I normally run in the mornings...in summer inormally run as soon as the sun is up before it gets hot and before the kids wake...I get into the routine of happily running 10k or more with no breakfast. But now its dark there's no way I can run till the kids are at school so I have just started late afternoon runs. I make sure I eat well but not too much at lunch and allow at least 2-3 hours and really try to go to the loo too...ni started with a short run of about 3k and have built up to about 5-6 k taking it gently to let my body get used to the new time. In the past I also used to get very tired trying to run later but I guess my body was just getting into the same routine...so hopefully this change will do my routine some good. I still try to do some morning runs at weekends just for variety.

hi as a shift worker i find i have to fit runnung into the flow...love morning runs in spring/summer and hate it in the evenings...however recently joined a chilled out running group that run in the evenings and as long i dont put bum to chair i enjoy their runs...and reward myself with a well earned glass of wine...I find nutrition has been the hardest of all ...
