If you like cycling but are a bit nervous about road racing, Cycletta could be the event for you. It is a dual-location (London and Manchester), mass participation, traffic-free, all-female 40k bike race designed for cyclists of all abilities.
Sponsored by Sky Ride and supported by British Cycling, Cycletta was launched by Olympic gold medallist Victoria Pendleton.
She says, 'Cycling has been my passion since I was a child. Through the Cycletta series, I want to inspire women to join me and cycle - as a hobby, a sport, a way to get fit and healthy.
'Whatever the reasoning, cycling can improve your life. I hope Cycletta will bring women together as they take on their own cycling challenge.'
