STEP 1: BRUSH AND BUFF
'Dry body brushing will stimulate circulation and help to push out any puffiness under your skin,' says Marcia Kilgore, founder of Soap & Glory. 'It's so effective it can reduce the appearance of cellulite within just a couple of weeks, but you have to be dedicated - a daily routine is essential. And, remember, no body brush can erase chocolate-cake chub, so keep an eye on your diet, too.'
USE
The Body Shops Bristle Body Brush £7, every morning before you jump in the shower. Brush from your feet towards your heart in firm, circular movements to aid circulation, spending around 60 seconds on each leg, each buttock and your torso to stimulate lymph flow and get those toxins moving.
STEP 2: GET SERUM SAVVY
'For results that last longer than your summer tan, serums are the secret,' says Fiona Brackenbury, Training Manager at Decléor. 'The formulation and texture of a serum enables the tightening and draining ingredients to penetrate the skin much more efficiently and quickly than thick creams.'
APPLY
Decléor Aromessence Slim Effect Draining Contouring Serum, £42, every morning, after you've body-brushed and showered, massaging firmly into your thighs and bottom until it'scompletely soaked in. It's packed with grapefruit, rosemary and lemongrass essential oils which help to decongest and smooth your skin.
STEP 3: PUT YOUR FEET UP
'Cellulite always looks worse during your period or if you spend a lot of time on your feet, as both cause your body to retain water, making cellulite appear more spongy,' says Fiona.
LIE DOWN
with your feet higher than your heart for 30 minutes if you've been on your feet all day. Massage your ankles and legs for a few minutes before bed each night, starting at your feet and working towards your stomach, as this helps drain excess water, get your circulation moving and eliminate any build-up of toxins.
STEP 4: DETOX YOUR DIET
'One of the best ways to tackle cellulite is through your diet,' says nutrionist Vicki Edgson, co-author of It Must Be My Hormones (Michael Joseph, £14.99). 'A month or so before your holiday, ditch milk-laden coffee and choose a fat-free caffeine hit such as green or white tea,' she suggests. 'They're packed with antioxidants to help your body drain away the toxins that build cellulite. Try adding flax and linseeds to salads or soup, too. They're packed with essential fatty acids, which help break down the bad fats that migrate to problem areas, making cellulite look worse.'
TRY
Weleda Birch Juice £8.95, helps your system eliminate waste and clear your skin. It's made from organic silver birch blended with lemon juice, and can be added to hot or cold drinks, such as green tea or fruit juice. You should see results within three weeks.
STEP 5: TOUCH IT UP
With just days to go, give your smoothed and buffed thighs a flattering finish. 'A self-tan is the perfect camoflage for lingering lumps and bumps,' says fake-tanning expert Nichola Joss. 'Adding a warm, radiant glow to your skin is like re-touching a picture - cellulite, blemishes and uneven skin are instantly diffused.'
Unsure about a full-on fake? A daily body moisturiser with an added hint of self-tanner is great for building up the colour you want without streaky mistakes.
SMOOTH ON
Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess Radiant Perfection, £22.50. This firming moisturising creme adds a honey glow worthy of a long weekend in Ibiza, and is oil-free so won't feel heavy in the heat.
