Killer leg move 2: single-leg squat

'Using a ball when doing squats pushes the muscles in your legs to work harder, sculpting right down from your buttocks to your calves,' says Ramona.

  • Place a Swiss ball against a wall and gently lean your lower back against it, with your legs slightly wider than hip-width apart.
  • Now lift your right foot up off the floor so that your knee is bent at 90°, then squat down on your left leg as though you're about to sit in a chair, keeping your right foot raised throughout. As you squat down, your back will roll down with the ball.
  • Rise back up into the start position and repeat with your left foot raised off the floor. Aim for 20 repetitions on each leg.

The picture of the plank doesn't seem to follow the instructions on how to do it.  In the picture the girl is resting on her hands rather than her elbows and forearms.  Bit confusing for rookies
