Killer leg move 1: reverse curtsy

'This is a killer on the backs and fronts of your thighs,' says Ramona, 'especially as it targets one leg at a time, so your muscles don't get a chance to rest up.'

  • Stand with your feet hip-width apart, back straight and stomach muscles pulled in tight.
  • Step your right leg across behind your left, bending both knees into a deep curtsy position. Your feet should be slightly turned out. As you do so, touch the floor with your right hand, being careful not to arch your back. Step back into the start position.
  • Repeat 20 times, and then repeat, curtseying with your left leg.
  • If you find this exercise too hard, step forward instead of back for a normal curtsy lunge.

The picture of the plank doesn't seem to follow the instructions on how to do it.  In the picture the girl is resting on her hands rather than her elbows and forearms.  Bit confusing for rookies
