Basic chop

This move works your whole body in one fell swoop.

  • Stand with your feet slightly closer than shoulder-width apart and hold your hands together above your left shoulder with your arms straight.
  • Squat down and rotate your upper body to your right while simultaneously dropping your arms, keeping them straight, until they pass your right knee.
  • Hold the squat for a few seconds, then push through your heels to return to standing, taking your straight arms back up to the start position above your left shoulder.
  • Repeat for 15 reps, then switch sides. Remember to maintain good posture through your back at all times, even while rotating, and keep your head facing the same way as your shoulders.
