Research shows you're more likely to stick to a healthy regime if you start the day with exercise. Try these quick moves, demonstrated on video for Zest by celeb PT Mark Anthony
Nearly a third of us say we're more likely to stick to a healthy regime if we kick off the day with a shape-up session.
It's true: there's nothing like an early morning run to leave you feeling smug all day. But if you can't face pulling on your trainers for a 5K jog before breakfast, maybe some home-based moves might hold more appeal.
Celebrity fitness guru Mark Anthony has teamed up with Florida grapefruit to create some Zest-specific video workouts - each lasting no more than 5 minutes - designed to give you a morning metabolism-boost that should keep you on track for the rest of the day.
His moves come in three bite-sized chunks, focusing on
1. Tightening and toning your back. Watch the video here
2. Working your chest and arms. Watch the video here
3. Shaping your abs, legs and butt. Watch the video here
They are all designed to be quick and easy to do at home, in your kitchen while you're waiting for the kettle to boil or the toast to pop up, or in the living room while you're watching TV.
They are also perfect for a quick shape-up session any time of day. The only equipment you need is a couple of small botles of water to use as weights.
Check out all three videos - plus all our other fitness and wellness videos - on the Zest magazine Youtube channel.
