The local government has developed a network of purpose-built hiking trails to encourage visitors to discover Majorca’s natural beauty, and staying off the tourist trail means peace, quiet and stunning scenery.
The Tramuntana Mountain range dominates the north of the island and has recently been awarded UNESCO World Heritage Status. This region offers 1,000-metre peaks, natural gorges and pleasant rural villages where as a hiker you can experience the real Majorca.
