The north of Majorca boasts incredible landscapes, natural beauty and great charm, making it a paradise for walking and hiking. Highly recommended for beginners is a route that takes in four charming Majorca villages and Majorca's beautiful landscape. This circular route starts in the picturesque village of Selva with its imposing local church. Walkers then pass onto the tiny village of Moscari where you are greeted with fantastic panoramic views of Tramuntana mountains to the north and undulating plains to the south.
Most of this walk takes place on country lanes and tracks offering easy ground for beginners, as well as views of the region's vast almond orchards: stunning when the spring blossom is out.
The back lanes of Moscari are then followed to the next village of Binibona, an unspoilt rural village a world away from the winter blues of the UK - and the high-season revelry of Majorca's more touristy hotspots.
Your walk concludes in the beautiful and slightly bigger village of Caimari, with its taste of traditional, unspoilt Majorcan life. Recover from your trek with a glass of something cool at one of the cafes around Caimari's quaint main square.
